Soheyl Bastami

I am an Iranian-Canadian sculptor and designer based in Toronto. For over fifteen years, my practice has explored the relationship between material, form, memory, and human experience.

Working across wood, bronze, metal, and other materials, I create sculptures and sculptural objects that balance physical presence with emotional resonance. My work has been exhibited and collected internationally and realized through exhibitions, public installations, and more than fifteen international sculpture symposiums across Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Iran. I have also received several international awards.

Alongside my sculptural practice, I develop sculptural furniture, lighting, and collectible objects, exploring the space between artwork and function.
